Principal's Message

The school staff and I would like to extend a warm welcome to all families visiting our school website.

The Queen Elizabeth School offers French Immersion programming to students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 6.

Enrollment in our FI program is ongoing and open to all. This includes learners with special education needs or learners whose first language is not English. Home/school communication is provided in English and/or the families’ first language. Parents and guardians do not need to be proficient in French for their child to attend.

Our school has a welcoming and caring environment that is community involved and academically engaged. Our staff are involved in continual professional development and are committed to ensuring that all students are provided with instruction that meets their unique needs.

Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. These include sports teams and a wide variety of clubs that focus on STEAM skills. We are committed to providing all students with leadership opportunities and ensuring student voice is prominent within our decision-making process.

At QES, all students have the opportunity to participate in real-world learning experiences that not only support them in mastering essential literacy and numeracy skills but also help them to become compassionate and responsible individuals who actively contribute to making the world a better place.

In the past year, students have been involved in numerous projects that promote global citizenship and environmental stewardship. Please see below for links to a few of the amazing things our students have accomplished. More information can also be found on our Facebook Page.

In the 2023-2024 school year, QES is proud to be a pilot site for the UCDSB Grows initiative which strives to support students in addressing food insecurity and climate change by partnering with and supporting local food banks and expanding school growing opportunities.

We look forward to working with you to support your child(ren) on their learning journey.

Yours in education,

Claire Snider
